Come to Wetzel County Autumnfest

The 19th Annual Wetzel County Autumnfest will take place October 6th through the 9th at the Wetzel County 4-H Grounds, just off Route 7 outside of New Martinsville, West Virginia. There will be something fun for everyone. Admissions and parking are free. Everyday will feature vendors, crafters and a flea market, as well as a daily 50/50 drawing. Camping is available on site for $15 per night.

The festivities get underway Thursday, October 6th at 6:00 PM with a dinner benefiting Deb’s Gang of Hope. You will have the choice of baked steak or chicken. Tickets are $12 in advance, or $15 at the door. Entertainment will be provided by Pat Henderson & the Konnection Singers.

On Friday, there will be a huge health fair complete with free screenings, a quilt show, pumpkin decorating contest, scarecrow contest, apple pie contest, and a baking contest sponsored by Red Star Yeast. Dinner will be soup beans and cornbread. Entertainment for the day includes The Price Family and SI Connection.

A big day is scheduled on Saturday, including a tractor show, gas engine show, mud truck show, children’s activities and karaoke. Contests include a horse shoe pitch and corn hole. Have a big bowl of chili for lunch and chicken & noodles for dinner. The day’s entertainment will be provided by Pat Henderson, the Mon Valley Pickers, Tom & Caol Wriston, the Tharp Brothers and Hundred Miles from Nowhere.

Autumnfest wraps up on Sunday with a spaghetti lunch and euchre and cinch tournaments.
